Acts of Peace

  1. Do a favor for a friend or neighbour
  2. Give a family member a big peace hug
  3. Be patient
  4. Remember to share
  5. Say a cheerful hello to someone grouchy
  6. Thank a person who does something nice for you
  7. Talk to a person around you whom you usually ignore
  8. Call someone who wants to hear from you
  9. Visit someone who is sick or lonely
  10. Cheer up a friend who is feeling low
  11. Spread a little more peace – and laughter  – at home, at school, at work
  12. Take a peace walk in Nature
  13. Jog, swim, dance, sing, play – to feel more peace-filled
  14. Ask how you can help…then help
  15. Do an unpleasant chore without complaining
  16. Clean up the earth around you
  17. Hold the door open for someone
  18. If someone annoys you, dare to do something nice for that person
  19. Respond to rudeness with a carefully chosen peaceful word
  20. Take a deep breath if you’re angry — and wait to speak until you can do so more peacefully
  21. Talk to someone with whom you’ve had a recent argument
  22. Remember to say you’re sorry
  23. Be willing to forgive beforebeing asked
  24. Learn to compromise a little more and disagree a little less
  25. Think about ways to co-operate rather than compete with people
  26. If someone is in pain, do what you can to lessen it
  27. If you’re having a bad day, give yourselfan Act of Peace
  28. Give thanks for every Act of Peace someone else does for
  29. And every day, take at least five minutes to look up at the sky!
