Aquatics Coordinator, Lifeguard(s) & Instructor(s)
Located amidst the 30,000 islands of Georgian Bay and a 2.5-hour drive north of Toronto,
the Town of Parry Sound offers an exceptional quality of life.
Join our team in the Aquatics Program Summer Student program as the Aquatics
Coordinator, Instructor/ Lifeguard or Lifeguard. The primary purpose of these roles
is to administer the summer aquatics program and provide a safe waterfront.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Handling emergencies that occur in the beach and park area,
2. Assisting with the daily maintenance and operations of the beach and park area,
3. Assisting in organizing, planning, implementing, and participating in special events
at the beach,
4. Assisting in completing required daily facility checklists, accident, and incident
reporting, etc.
Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills:
1. National Lifeguard Waterfront (preferred)
2. Standard First Aid and CPR Level C
3. Lifesaving Society Instructor (LSI) (required for Instructors only)
4. High level of organization and record keeping skills.
5. High level of teamwork and cooperation skills.
6. Good communication and public relations skills.
7. Must be 15 years of age or older.
8. Previous lifeguarding experience is an asset.

Compensation:
Aquatic Program roles are full time, summer seasonal jobs, 40 hours/week
• Aquatics Coordinator: $22.00 per hour
• Instructor/ Lifeguards: $20.40 per hour
• Lifeguards: $19.40 per hour
