Meet Your Group Power Instructors at MyY Collingwood

Group Power is finally here! Learn more about the class and meet your instructors that will be leading classes at the YMCA in Collingwood.

As a fitness instructor I am very excited to introduce Group Power to our centre. This well-researched program is a highly motivating and effective way to make strength conditioning fun!

Group Power has challenged me on many levels and has allowed me to measure my progress against new personal goals. I believe Group Power will provide our Y members with the results they seek and keep them coming back for more!

What I love about Group Power is that it is for men and women of all ages. You are in charge of your own level, you use the adjustable weights to find a weight that works for you. Taking the class twice per week you will see results!

Remember you only experience your first class once, after trying it two to three times you will have a better understanding of the layout of the class and be able to push yourself to your personal best! I look forward to seeing you in class.

Hello Power People! I am excited to be part of this team of trainers who will be leading Group Power! I was initially unsure of what this program was all about, but have learned so much during training, and am so happy to be able to bring it to our members. The movements, the music, the team atmosphere all make for an amazing hour of strength training and fun! Can’t wait to see you all for our hour of power!

I have been an instructor for over 5 years and have participated in many training courses and I must say, Group Power blew me away!

I consider myself a “cardio junkie” and was skeptical of this new program involving pure strength training with no cardio portion in the class. Boy was I wrong!

My heart was pumping the whole class and my cardio level was being tested the whole time. Even better than that, I can see my strength increasing after each class! I am totally hooked on Group Power and can’t wait to start teaching it! Bring it on!
