Employment Ontario Programs
Employment Ontario has developed programs to help people who need assistance to get back to work.
If you were laid off from your last job and can’t seem to find work because your skills are out of date or you don’t have any formal training you may be eligible for Second Career.
Second Career provides laid off workers with:
• Skills training to help find jobs in high-demand occupations in Ontario
• Financial support
Self-Employment may also be an option. The Ontario Self-Employment Benefit provides unemployed people who are or have recently been eligible for Employment Insurance with income and entrepreneurial support while they develop and start their business.
This Employment Ontario Service is funded in part by the Government of Canada.
