The YMCA offers fun and informative workshops that will provide an opportunity for members to try new and exciting fitness programs. Watch local information boards to check out new fitness programs for adults. Whether your goal is to increase strength and endurance, lose weight or stay active, joining a group is a great way to help keep you on track towards reaching your personal fitness goals.

Adult Fitness Classes for All Ability Levels | Innisfil YMCA

BOOT CAMP
A high intensity, low choreography body conditioning class that works both strength and stamina. This class is a dynamic and challenging workout combining cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength and endurance exercises.

CARDIO KICK
An intense cardio workout that incorporates power, coordination and endurance through cardio, basic boxing and modified martial arts moves.

CARDIO/STRENGTH MIX
Variety is the key to this workout! Experience different styles of cardio & strength training from our programs.

CHAIR YOGA
A class designed for those who would like to take part in yoga but are not able to get down on the floor for some movements due to physical restrictions. Focus on posture, breathing, and stretching, lubricating joints and increasing range of motion.

CORE STRENGTH
A quick and effective class focusing on abdominal and back strengthening exercises.

DRUMS ALIVE
Feel the beat with Drums Alive! Capturing the essence of rhythm and drumming delivering fun and real fitness results.

ENDURANCE CYCLE – Sun 9:45-11:15am Jan 10-Mar 20 $40+ HST
This 10 week class is to prepare you for the upcoming outdoor cycle season. Whether you are training for a cycle race, a triathlon or the Ride to Conquer Cancer, this class will help build your endurance and teach you how to provide nutrition for your body while riding.

EXTREME BOOTCAMP – Wed 11:30-1pm Jan 20-Feb 24 $24+ HST
Body strengthening will prepare you to be ready for the most challenging obstacle courses out there. Includes running, jumping, crawling & body weight exercises to challenge your fitness goals.

FAMILY PROGRAMS
Be a good role model – join our adapted YMCA Fitness classes for the whole family. We offer instructor led Family Fitness, Family Creations, Family Yoga and Diaper Fit for all
ages, as well as Family Zumba ages 8+.

GENTLEFIT/FITNESS FOR BREATH
Fitness options for those living with limited mobility or chronic conditions. Classes include functional exercises to help make day to day activities easier.

GLIDING
Using gliding discs, this dynamic, low impact, high intensity class provides a thorough full body workout. The sliding motions used require additional stability which helps to develop your core strength.

GROUP CYCLING
Group Cycle is a fun class providing a great cardio workout appropriate for all fitness levels. Participants are able to adjust their workout to match their fitness level while working to increase their endurance.

GROUP POWER
Group Power® is Your Hour of Power!
Blast all your muscles with this high-rep weight training workout. Using an adjustable barbell, plates, and body weight, Group Power combines traditional & functional integrated exercises with a motivating group atmosphere!

GRAVITY
A strength training class using the Gravity training system. This workout provides a full body workout – kick starting your metabolism, making you feel stronger, and helping you meet your goals.

A strength training class using the Gravity training system. This workout provides a full body workout – kick starting your metabolism, making you feel stronger, and helping you meet your goals.

HIP HOP – Mon 7:15-7:55pm Jan 4-Feb 8 $24+ HST
Popular hip hop moves like poppin’, locking, and breaking as well as freestyle movements designed to give you a cardio workout that will help you dance your way into shape!

LEARN TO RUN—Wed 6:15-7:15pm Feb 24-May 11 $48+ HST
You’ve always wanted to run but haven’t known where to start! Now here’s a program that is 12 weeks and will teach you about running, nutrition, goal setting, injury prevention, pacing and much more. You will receive a booklet to track your runs and help you keep on track!

Participants will vote for their class of choice.

ON THE MOVE
(CARDIO & STRENGTH, PUMP, TAIJFIT & YOGA OPTIONS)
A full body workout including cardiovascular and muscle conditioning for the older adult. This low impact workout incorporates a variety of fitness apparatus to improve strength, balance, flexibility and posture.

PILATES – Wed 7:30-8:15am Jan 20-Feb 24 $24+ HST
This ‘mat work’ class focuses on strengthening your core, as well as increasing your flexibility and endurance. Pilates is also a great way to increasing flexibility and strength, improving posture and coordination and synchronizing mind and body.

STEP AEROBICS
Step includes choreographed and athletic patterns resulting in a motivating cardiovascular and lower body conditioning workout. A great way to improve coordination while toning and defining legs and glutes.

YOGA & GENTLE YOGA
Through postures, meditation and breathing exercises, you will learn to bring yourself to a peaceful frame of mind. Improved strength and flexibility are the physical benefits of practicing yoga.

ZUMBA / GLOBAL GROOVES
Zumba/Global Grooves combines latin and international music with hot dance steps.
