Drop-In Fitness Classes & Exercise Programs for Adults

The YMCA offers fun and informative workshops that will provide an opportunity for members to try new and exciting fitness programs. Watch local information boards to check out new fitness programs for adults. Whether your goal is to increase strength and endurance, lose weight or stay active, joining a group is a great way to help keep you on track towards reaching your personal fitness goals.

Adult Fitness Classes for All Ability Levels | Innisfil YMCA

BOOT CAMP
A high intensity, low choreography body conditioning class that works both strength and stamina.  This class is a dynamic and challenging workout combining cardiovascular fitness, muscle strength and endurance exercises.

CARDIO KICK
This class begins with an intense cardio workout, incorporating power, coordination and endurance moves. Cardio Kick is an amazing interval workout that combines cardio, basic boxing and modified martial arts kicks. Classes will conclude with a relaxing stretch.

MAT WORK CORE 
This is an effective class focusing on abdominal and back strengthening exercises. This program differs from Group Core and is focused around various core exercises on the mat.

CYCLE
Cycle is a great cardio workout appropriate for all fitness levels.  Participants are able to adjust their workout to match their individual fitness level.

CYCLE BLAST 
Cycle blast is an intense 30 minutes or less cardio workout. Participants are able to adjust their workout to match their individual fitness level.

CYCLE – GROUP RIDE
Group Ride is a fantastic way to improve your cardio fitness, burn calories, shape and strengthen your lower body, and have fun while doing it! Since you control the intensity of the workout by adjusting your own bike, it’s a great workout for all ages whether you are just starting out or are an avid cyclist looking to train indoors. 

GENTLE FITNESS 
A gentle way to start if you are looking to get moving. We use chairs to help with balance, and include some strength and cardio to help you get going; whether you are new to exercise or looking for a class to get you started, this is the class for you.

GROUP CORE
Expert coaching and motivating music will guide you through functional and integrated exercise using your body weight, weight plates and a platform.

GROUP POWER
Group Power® is Your Hour of Power! Blast all your muscles with this high-rep weight training workout. Using an adjustable barbell, weight plates, and body weight, Group Power combines squats, lunges, presses, and curls with functional integrated exercises. Dynamic music and a motivating group atmosphere will get your heart rate up, make you sweat, and push you to a personal best! Power Up!

GRAVITY
Gravity is a strength training class using the Gravity training system. This workout has the function for incline plane and gravity resistance for a full body workout kick starting your metabolism and helping you meet your goals.

H.I.I.T Camp 
This 6 week workshop provides weekly nutrition tips on how to fuel your intensive workouts and also gives participants a dynamic, energy filled, motivational and functional workout.

LEARN TO …
A class for beginner exercisers, or those looking to try something new.  Qualified YMCA Trainers will take the time to introduce you to new exercises, and workout at a slower pace.

ON THE MOVE
(CARDIO & STRENGTH, PUMP, TAIJFIT & YOGA OPTIONS)
A full body workout including cardiovascular and muscle conditioning.  This program is suitable for the older adult thru to beginner exerciser incorporating a variety of resistance apparatus to improve strength, balance, flexibility and posture.

PICKLEBALL
Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in Ontario. It is a combination of tennis, badminton and table tennis. The game is played on a badminton size court with a whiffle ball the size of a tennis ball and with a short handled paddle larger than a ping pong paddle

STEP
Step includes choreographed and athletic patterns resulting in a motivating cardiovascular and lower body conditioning workout. A great way to improve your coordination while toning and defining legs and glutes.

YOGA & GENTLE YOGA
Through postures, meditation and breathing exercises, you will learn to bring yourself to a peaceful frame of mind.  Improved strength and flexibility are the physical benefits or practicing yoga.  

ZUMBA
A spicy new program that combines Latin and International music with hot dance steps.  If you love dancing and keeping fit, then Zumba is for you!
