Impact
The Y is more than a place….
It is the opportunity to GROW
The Y connects thousands of people of all ages to the supports they need to live a healthy lifestyle. Did you know that 1 in 10 YMCA members receive financial assistance to access our programs if they can’t afford to pay full fees.
It is the opportunity to PLAY
As the largest provider of licensed child care in our community, we welcome children from over 4,000 families across over 65 licensed child care sites.
We look forward to providing a safe space for 5,000 children to learn new skills and make new friends through our Day Camp Programs.
It is the opportunity to LEARN
The Y supports youth by providing opportunities to earn certificates, high school credits, and volunteer hours.
The Y connects local youth to bursaries and scholarships so that they can access post-secondary education.
The Y supports early childhood education by delivering its national Play to Learn child care curriculum across its centres.
The Y delivers English as a Second Language Classes to new Canadians settling in our community.
It is the opportunity to HEAL
The Y partners with local hospitals and health services to deliver rehabilitation programs for individuals recovering from cancer, cardiac incidents and living with chronic health conditions.
