Salary:  $31,200–$52,000 a year

Job type: Full-time, Permanent

Shift & schedule: 8 hour shift, Monday to Friday

Muskoka Evergreen has been caring for the trees of Muskoka for over 30 years, focusing on cottage property pruning and removals, whereby access is often by water.

Muskoka Evergreen Tree Service has been creating picture perfect treescapes by preserving, protecting and enhancing the natural beauty of Muskoka’s trees for 30 years.

Responsibilities and Duties

Your Job Duties:

• Perform all duties in accordance with Arborist Safe Work Practices
• Perform required tree work from ground level, climbing.
• Remove brush, diseased trees and branches
• Pruning, stumping and required clean up
• Knowledge in production tree removal, tree pruning and rigging

Your Qualifications and Skill Requirements:

• Preferred: experience of in all types of arboricultural work including; tree climbing, pruning, removal, cabling, bracing, and stumping
• College training is an asset
• Experienced and knowledgeable of approved safety procedures when working at heights
• Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner

Your Work Conditions:

• Outdoor field environment
• Remote locations
• Daily travel from site to site
• Walking/hiking on various surfaces including flat, dry, wet, slippery, uneven, rough, steep terrain, hills and slopes
• Exposure to noise, dust, grease and all types of weather and temperature conditions

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)
• ISA certification preferred

License or certification:

• G License (An asset)

Experience:

• 1 – 7 months (Required)
