Our team is growing and we’re on the lookout for a passionate individual with a flair for baking and community. Sourdough bread and/or Viennoiserie, laminated pastry experience & knowledge critical. Join us in beautiful Parry Sound, an oasis for the outdoor adventure lover!

**Responsibilities:**

– Assist in the preparation of a wide range of baked goods such as sourdough breads, pastries, croissant/laminations and desserts.

– Maintenance of sourdough mother levain

– Work with bread and pastry team in the production of sourdough bread (proving, shaping, scoring, baking off) and pastries including croissant and lamination-based puff pastry.

– Follow recipes and adhere to food safety standards

– Maintain a clean and organized work area

**Experience & Skills:**

– Knowledge of Viennoiserie/Puff pastry techniques. Familiarity with laminations and sheeting critical.

-Proficiency in baking techniques, including mixing, kneading, proofing, and baking a variety of goods such as bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies. Sourdough knowledge an asset.

– Previous experience in a bakery or kitchen environment

– Knowledge of food handling and food safety procedures

– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

– Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal, Internship / Co-op
Contract length: 12 months

Expected hours: 20 – 44 per week
