Position Summary:
Wasauksing First Nation is accepting applications for a Community Support Coordinator. The
Community Support Coordinator is responsible for implementing the approved strategies and
directions, in relation to the Gaming and Revenue Fund. The incumbent works in collaboration
with the Directors, and the effective administration of the Gaming Revenue Funds. This position
is responsible for administrative duties regarding any and all inquiries about, eligibility, policies
and procedures, etc., of the Wasauksing Community Support Fund. This position will assist
members with the application process and provide information on other programs available to
members outside the Gaming and Revenue Fund.
Duties & Responsibilities:
 Effective and efficient administration, and ensures compliance with the policy and
administration;
 Meeting with potential applicants and familiarize, support and assist them with the
application process;
 Report all inquiries (statement of intent/ application forms) and prepare
recommendations to the Gaming Revenue Fund Committee at mandatory committee
meetings.
 Responsible for meeting with potential clients, familiarizing them with the application
process and providing assistance and support when needed;
 Clerical duties such as photocopying, filing and inputting data
 Preparing summary reports for Committee/Council review
 Providing support to Committee/Council for funding decisions
 Provide project support to applicants
 Provide reports to Gaming Revenue Fund Committee during mandatory committee
meetings, including annual reports.
 Recommends and develops programs, policies, procedures and controls
 Responsible for the processing and monitoring of grant payments
 Monitors the cash flow; ensures compliance with the policy and administrative
objectives of the Wasauksing First Nation Gaming Revenue Fund Policy.
 Works with Finance Department to ensure effective and efficient administration of the
Gaming Revenue Funds
 Assist members with the application process and provide information on other
programs available to members outside the Gaming and Revenue Fund
 Communicate effectively with community members, CED, Chief and Council,
Council/Community Committees, Managers, staff, funding agencies and others as
required in a timely, responsible and professional manner.
 Other duties/tasks/responsibilities as required and as assigned
INTERNAL/EXTERNAL
Education & Experience:
 Minimum Ontario Secondary School Diploma (Grade 12) and a specialized course in
accounting/business/administration.
 College or University degree/credits in business related fields an asset
Other Requirements:
 Strong computer skills including a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office
applications (i.e. Word and excel)
 Must have proven ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
 Excellent interpersonal and people skills
 Strong facilitation, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
 Proven ability to communicate verbally and in writing
 Applicant must be well organized
 Must be courteous and responsive
 Provide a current CPIC
