Requirements

– Must be able and willing to work a minimum of 30 hours per week.

– Familiar with HACCP, WHMIS and Occupational Health and Safety (on site training)

– Ensure sanitation regulations pertaining to food preparation and handling are followed.

– Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.

– Be able to communicate effectively with residents and staff.

– Be able to follow through on a job from start to finish, troubleshoot, prioritize, and work both independently and as part of a team.

– Willingness to keep up to date on various policies that affect your duties.

– Clear Criminal Record Check / Vulnerable Persons Sector Screen.

– Must complete ORCA training annually. (on site)

– Departmental and station cleaning as required.

– Take orders and serve meals to residents.

– Setting and clearing tables, using proper techniques.

– Assist with the monitoring of resident presence and eating habits.

– Operate dishwasher and complete manual ware washing as required.

– Adhere to established policies and procedures and participate in fire and safety programs.

– Follow instructions and guidelines put in place by management.

– Be in good compliance with attended scheduled shifts.

Full time position benefits

– Employee will be added to our company medical benefits package (if/when probation is cleared).

– Employee will be entitled to every other weekend off. (subjected to change in staffing crisis)

– Placement on a full time “line” (subjected to change in staffing crisis)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $17.93 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
