Position Description:
The Friends of Killbear Park is seeking an Director of Operations.
Killbear Provincial Park is located on the eastern shores of Georgian Bay, on the traditional Indigenous
lands of the Three Fires Confederacy. Established in 2000, the Friends of Killbear Park is a non-profit
organization aiming to achieve the park goals which include protection, education, science and recreation.
Friends of Killbear Park prides itself on connection: with nature, each other, our ancestors and inner child.

When will you work?
-Fulltime employment – 28 hours per week from March 1, 2022 to December 31, 2022.
What are you responsible for?
-Bookkeeping, and Quickbooks
-Utilize Shopify
-Manage Friends of Killbear membership data and fees
-Liaise with Board of Directors
-Manage online store
-Computer use – Point of Sale system, MS Office, Social Media
-Liaise with community partners, government officials, Killbear Provincial Park staff
What skills are required?
· Knowledge of E-Commerce (Point of Sales/ Shopify)
· Accounting Package: Quickbooks
· Excellent Excel Skills
· Social Media: Website, Facebook
· Marketing
· Communications: Email/Phone
· Knowledge and/or Experience with Non-Profit Organizations
· Resourceful & Self-Directed
· Handling Donations
· Time Management
· Working with volunteers keeping them engaged and informed
