We have a permanent, full-time opportunities for experienced CNC Machinists at our facility in Barrie!
Come expand & refine your precision machining skills by seizing the opportunity to work with our state of the art machines, making “mission critical” parts for industries including aerospace, nuclear, defense, oil & gas, medical, and more!

The Role:

Dependent on skill level: Set up, load, and operate various types of CNC machines, including multi-axis mills, multi-spindle lathes, and advanced machines such as the Integrex 9-axis lathe
Perform various types of dimensional inspections using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, verniers, calipers, height gauges, shadowgraphs, CMMs, etc.
Read & interpret line drawings/blueprints as necessary to determine machining requirements, dimensional specifications, set up requirements, etc.
Use root cause analysis to understand and address quality issues as necessary
Adjust machine set ups and tooling and perform troubleshooting as necessary
Prepare documentation such as inspection reports, production reports, etc.

The Right Candidate:
Has experience operating multi-axis mills and multi-spindle/multi-axis lathes & other advanced CNC machinery
Experience setting up CNC machinery considered a great asset.
Has experience working within or servicing high-precision industries such as aerospace & nuclear.
Is familiar with AS9100, ISO9001, & Z299 quality assurance standards.
Has experience working with metals including steel & aluminum.
Is available for shift work & overtime based on organizational need.
Has a process improvement mindset & is confident in voicing ideas for process improvement.
Has strong measuring skills and a high comfort level with measuring tools such as micrometers, verniers, calipers, height gauges, etc.
Understands the importance of a positive, team-based attitude
Is comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds and performing repetitive manual labour tasks such as bending,
reaching, twisting, & leaning into machinery

Day Shift:
Monday – Thursday, 7:00a.m. – 4:30p.m., & Friday 7:00a.m. – 3:30p.m.
Afternoon Shift:
Monday – Thursday: 4:00p.m. – 3:00a.m.
