POSITION: Full Stack Developer
REPORTS TO: Director – Head of Technology Services
Y is a brand, digital marketing, and technology company. Our work ranges across the digital spectrum and includes the build of websites and apps both large and small, setup and integration of clients Martech stack, build of customized tools, content and email marketing, SEO, SEM, social media management, and more.
We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to join our team. As a Full Stack Developer, you should be comfortable around both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks and
third-party libraries. You should also be a team player with a knack for visual design and utility. You will work hand in hand with the UX/UI design team and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works. If you’re also familiar with Agile methodologies, we’d like to meet you.
The nature of Y is all hands-on. The Full Stack Developer is expected to participate in projects and be an active and key team member. This is true for employees at every level of Y.
In this role you’ll have the opportunity to:
Create best-in-class digital products for exciting international clients.
Collaborate with both local and global teams to create the best solution.
Develop all types of digital products and systems, not just websites.
Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions.
Design client-side and server-side architecture.
Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design.
Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications.
Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability.

You will have:
A degree in computer science or related field.
Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role.
Experience developing web and mobile applications.
Experience working with and customizing WordPress themes and plugins to suit application needs,
including developing custom WordPress themes from frameworks.
Familiarity with common stacks.
Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery).
Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. PHP, C#, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g.
Angular, React, Node.js).
Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design.
Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as Gimp or Photoshop is a plus.
Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.

Good understanding of SEO and Accessibility principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them.
Strong attention to detail.
Good problem-solving skills.
Proactive, independent working style.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
The ability to track time on projects, work within time restrictions, log time in project management system.
The ability to communicate with management / account teams on the completion and organizations of tasks.
The ability to be a team player and be excited about growth and new opportunities.

Nice-to-haves:
Experience translating designs to code from applications such as Sketch and Figma is a plus.
