Full Job Description

Oakcrest Co. is located in the heart of Historic Downtown Parry Sound, just steps from beautiful Georgian Bay. Our downtown location is home to an upscale breakfast and lunch bistro as well as a bake shop and luxury coffee brand.

We are looking to hire a creative and experienced baker / pastry chef to our team.

Responsibilities:

Prepare a wide variety of baked goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, tarts, muffins, cinnamon buns, bread etc. following traditional and modern recipes

Create new and exciting desserts

Decorate pastries using different icings, toppings etc. to ensure the presentation will be beautiful and exciting

Monitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar etc.

Guide and motivate pastry assistants and bakers to work more efficiently

Identify staffing needs and help recruit and train personnel

Maintain a lean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards

Flexible Language Requirement:  French not required

Schedule:  Day shift, Morning shift

Supplemental pay types:  Tips

Work Location: In person

Expected start date: 2023-03-20
