Individualized Services Administrator
One-Year Position
WHO IS ELIGIBLE:
• Candidate must be a new entrant into the workforce, are transitioning to a new career, or the unemployed or underemployed who are entering a new field.
• Candidate must have not previously participated in an NOHFC funded internship in the 2020 Mandate.
• Candidate must be 18 years of age or older.
• Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada
PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE OF INTERNSHIP:
The Individualized Funding Administrator supports individuals with developmental disabilities by enhancing their quality of life through administrative services, coordinating person-directed support, managing budgets, and administering funding programs. The role also offers guidance to individuals in building relationships and fostering social inclusion, embracing a rights-based culture while aligning with the Mission, Vision, and Service Principles of Community Living Parry Sound (CLPS).
SPECIFIC KEY DUTIES:
• Coordinate flexible, person-directed support services with individuals and staff, ensuring their needs and preferences are met.
• Facilitate the development and execution of planning goals for individuals based on available budgets,
including activities such as day trips.
• Purchase items and supplies that enhance individuals’ quality of life.
• Assist in the administration funding in accordance with the guidelines of the Developmental Service Sector’s
Passport One program.
• Assist the Individualized Funding team by creating promotional materials, coding invoices, and interacting with individuals as needed.
• Collaborate with the finance team to process invoice and ensure accurate tracking of expenditures.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Applicants are required to have post-secondary education in Human Services, Business Administration, or a related field. Must possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Applicants must have the ability to work both independently and as a part of a team. Must be comfortable with technology and proficient in use of the Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of the Passport Program and other government-funded services considered an asset. Access to a reliable vehicle for business use and Valid G Driver’s license.
