Kitchen Assistant

• Assist with preparing food to be sold in house. Duties include chopping, cooking, cleaning, dishes.
• Lots of variety in the day; preparing soup, salad, snacks, main dishes, freezer meals.
• Previous cooking experience in an established business required.
• Knowledgeable in food handling practices and procedures required. Food Handlers Certificate required.
• Ability to work with others in a congenial manner, sense of humour, able to follow instructions and work with various recipes. Must be a hard worker, have good taste buds (willing to taste food being prepared), enjoy preparing food; flexibility is key.

We are a scent sensitive workplace. No perfume, scented aftershave or nail polish.

This is a seasonal position from May – Thanksgiving. expected 3-5 days per week.

Deli is open Wednesday – Sunday (closed Monday/Tuesday)
