THE MUNICIPALITY OF WHITESTONE
Temporary Part-Time LANDFILL ATTENDENT
This position is responsible for maintaining the Municipal Landfill sites in a safe,
responsible and orderly manner. Collect tipping fees as per approved schedule of
rates and educate the public on the municipal landfill site policies and best
practices. Ensure that waste brought to the site is placed in the proper location
for transfer, handling or disposal. Assist when needed with the care,
maintenance and operation of roads, open space, natural and built assets.
General labourer duties as assigned.
Candidates shall have a minimum Grade 12 education and must possess an ā€œGā€
license with a clean abstract. Good customer service skills are required and a
minimum of one year of related experience. Ability to manage financial
transactions; excellent reading and writing skills.
