Lawn-Care Technician (Senior Staff)

OPERATION AND APPLICATIONS
– To perform fertilization, aeration and other applications as required.
– To prepare the vehicle for daily operation by following and completing safety inspection checklists and maintenance logs.
– To ensure that all equipment, supplies and all promotional material is organized and the necessary volume is in vehicle for the daily route.
– Responsible for the daily operation of the vehicle and ensuring that all safe driving practices and laws are t1beyed.
– Responsible for ensuring that equipment is loaded, applied and prepared for transportation with a strong focus on safety and injury prevention.

ADMINISTRATION
– Responsible to complete all internal and external reports and daily logs as required.
– To oversee the appropriate and proactive distribution of promotional materials with a high level of professionalism and quality customer service.
– To ensure that all required posting and signage is completed for all applications.
– To ensure that route sheets are completed daily and in its entirety.

LEADERSHIP, TRAINING AND SUPERVISORY SUPPORT
– To provide direction to, oversee and reinforce with support staff that equipment and applications are applied with a high focus on safety and quality.
– To ensure that the team stays on schedule as outlined in daily route sheet.
– To report any staff issues, customer co1nplaints or other pertinent information to Turf King in a timely and proactive manner.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Good standing and valid ”G” license.
– Willing to obtain, and successfully complete ”in house” certification training for the Lawn Care Technician position.
– To fulfill all other training requirements as outlined and provided.

Lawn Technician – Job Description
– Following strict training principals, technicians con1plete prescribed services on properties within a provided route.
– These services might include; fertilization, weed management, aeration, topdressing, over-seeding, insect repellant etc.
– These services requires safe loading of both equipment and product into the provided truck.
– All employees are required to operate vehicles, equipment etc. with the utmost of safety and care.
– Technicians must complete required paperwork for all applications for both the customer and the office in a neat and timely manner.
– Technicians are required to distribute information materials at the time of application as required.
– Clear communication is a must. If there is ever a problem, a customer provides feedback etc. this must be communicated to the office in a timely manner.
– Customer service is a STRONG focus. Technicians are required to interact with customers in a professional and polite manner – smile!
– Uniforms are required and for the most part (outside of pants and shoes) are provided. These items remain property of Turf King and are on loan during the employment period.
– All staff are required to come to work looking well kept, clean and presentable.

Administration
– All staff are required to work days, evenings and weekends as required.
– The hourly wage includes 4% vacation pay.
– Pay periods are every 2 weeks from the starting date.
– Any time off requirements are to be requested early and will be provided depending on the scheduling needs and requirements.
– Hired employees are required to provide a drivers abstract and a completed criminal record search within 1 week of hiring
