Maintenance Lead

Parkbridge - Victoria Harbour Beach & Marine Resort

Position Description:
Reporting to the Resort Manager, the Maintenance Lead will oversee and initiate maintenance and general repairs for the property, and fulfill the company’s responsibilities to its residents. Due to the nature of this position, it requires an on-site presence and does not qualify for any present or future work from home.

What you will be doing:

Customer Relations
· Deliver exceptional customer service
· Be a positive role model for staff and lead by example
· Build solid brand recognition for the property based on delivery of service
· Ensure safe environment for residents and employees
· Provide ongoing communication with the Resort Manager and inform of any and all pertinent activities within the communities on a daily basis
· Participate in weekly and monthly meetings with the Resort Manager
· Responsible for maintaining the required property uniform and ensuring a professional appearance and attitude at all times

Personnel Management
· Assist in hiring, training and supervision of maintenance staff as required
· Organize staff through proper checks
· Schedule and manage maintenance staff (seasonal) and contractors when applicable
· Ensure all maintenance staff members understand standards and comply with company policies and procedures

Property Operations
· Facilitate and coordinate all maintenance, general repairs and usage of equipment, in common areas only.
This includes maintenance and management of the sewer, water and electrical systems
· Assist in snow removal from roads and driveways and grass cutting throughout all common areas of the communities along with other maintenance tasks as requested by the Resort Manager.
· Facilitate all aspects of pool and Recreation Centre maintenance and cleaning, including daily pool chemical checks are completed
· Participate in any projects set forth by Parkbridge operations, including capital projects
· Complete other miscellaneous administrative duties: i.e. Updating Preventative Maintenance Schedules,
Implementation of policies and procedures or various tasks as assigned by the Resort Manager
· Regularly attend meetings when required
· Promote and maintain a positive working relationship with all local business partners and stake-holders

Financial

· Assist in preparing the annual property maintenance budgets
· Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded and tracked (PO system)
· Procure goods and services according to protocols established by management
· Adhere to the travel policy guidelines and ensure costs are kept within the policy regulations
· Any monies received for scrapped metal must be provided to the Resort Manager who will deposit it into the Parkbridge funds

Health and Safety
· Lead for the Health & Safety Standards Program for the maintenance staff
· Ensure all property activities are conducted in a safe and environmentally responsible manner
· Ensure that all property facilities are maintained in safe condition
· Immediately notify management when operations are unsafe and/or beyond normal repair
· Ensure all employees are trained on the property safety procedures and are proficient in the use of its
safety equipment

This is a permanent full time position with a wage range from $16- $20/hour based on experience and full
benefits are available after 3 months.
