Are you interested in spending your summer on a lake in Algonquin Park? Do you have a passion for the outdoors? If so, then you should come be a part of the Taylor Statten Camps staff team!

The Taylor Statten Camps is Canada’s oldest fourth generational family-run traditional summer camp. We are located on Canoe Lake in Algonquin Provincial Park. The camp is made up of Camp Wapomeo for Girls and Camp Ahmek for Boys. Our camper’s age varies from 6 – 16.

Ahmek and Wapomeo have a roster of maintenance staff reporting to the Head of Maintenance. The team is responsible for the startup, shutdown and operation of the physical facilities on Canoe Lake. This process begins in May/June and ends in September/October each year. There are two water systems- one at each camp. They are lake water based pump systems using chlorine and UV treatment processes. This position’s main focus is testing of those systems daily. In addition, general maintenance duties also apply. Plumbing skills are also an asset as small repairs and upgrades are done throughout the season.

Compensation varies depending on the qualifications and experience of the applicant. All positions include FREE meals, accommodation , laundry and use of facilities.

Dates of employment: May through September inclusive. (accommodation for differing dates may be possible for applicants who can only work the summer months).
