Looking for an experienced millwork carpenter to run our shop in Parry Sound.

The shop is complimentary to our construction company focused on high end vacation homes in the Muskoka and Parry Sound areas.

Duties & responsibilities;

• Lead a small team of millwork carpenters in a healthy and safe shop environment.
• Coordinate projects with clients, in-house technical staff & management, interior designers, architects, carpenters, etc..
• Oversee millwork projects from planning through to installation.
• Quality control – insure all projects meet the highest quality standards.
• Create, maintain and enforce shop safety guidelines
• Manage material/hardware inventories to avoid project delays and optimize material usage.

Qualifications;

• Relevant experience in millwork shop and high end construction fields.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to competently read shop drawings and communicate with technical staff.
• Knowledge of all shop machinery and processes, including safety procedures.
• Ability to produce highest quality products while maintaining reasonable timelines.

Projects;

• Millwork, trim and moulding fabrication.
• Door fabrication.
• Timber accent fabrication – cornices, braces, mantles, etc..
• Stair and stair component fabrication.
• Manufacture of many different custom decorative & functional elements.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Licence/Certification:

• driver’s license (required)

Work Location: In person
