Job Title: Northern Perk Barista (aka Brew Wizards)
Job Description:
Northern Perk Inc. is seeking passionate and friendly individuals to join our team as
full-time and part-time Baristas (aka Brew Wizards). As a Barista, you will be responsible
for providing the best cup of coffee and snacks at our location at the Town Docks in
Parry Sound, Ontario.
Mission:
Our mission is to provide the best cup of coffee and snacks in a warm, fun, team centric
environment that turns customers into friends. Our goal is to build relationships with
tourists and the local Parry Sound population. We want our clients to remember us for a
positive, warm experience, and to tell everyone they know!
Responsibilities:
● Understand and promote the values, culture, and mission of Northern Perk
● Greet and interact with all customers in a professional and friendly manner
● Maintain a calm and professional demeanor under pressure
● Keep the kiosk and outside areas functional and clean, and anticipate the
customers’ needs
● Complete daily and weekly checklist tasks assigned to you
● Responsible for opening and closing the kiosk, including maintaining the point of
sale, ensuring checklist completion, and locking up at the end of the day
● Prepare beverages following Northern Perk’s quality standards
● Respond to all questions, orders, and concerns in a friendly and professional
manner
● Carry out other reasonable duties assigned by the company
● Have a Team mentality and respect fellow team members
● Attend regular Team meetings
Requirements:
● Prior barista or customer service experience is preferred
● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
● Strong and friendly communication and interpersonal skills
● Availability to work weekends, holidays and evenings
● Commitment to providing exceptional customer service
● Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 30 pounds
Compensation:
The compensation for this position is $16 per hour plus tips and incentives. We offer
flexible scheduling and a fun and respectful work environment.
