Part-Time Office Assistant

Sound Yarn & Fibre is looking for a Part-Time Office Assistant for a 6-month contract. This role primarily involves managing the company e-mail inbox and providing administrative assistance.

 

This is a work-from-home position with strong potential for long-term growth within the company.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer inquiries via email, providing exceptional service to our global customer base.
  • Manage communications with suppliers and other business correspondence.
  • Forward office tasks to the owner for immediate attention and provide timely reminders when necessary.
  • Learn and understand the parts and functioning of the circular sock knitting machine, and be able to explain its operation to customers.
  • Potential to assist with live chat and phone inquiries.

Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Quick learner, self-motivated, and able to efficiently complete tasks without repeated guidance.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Proficient in using computers and common office software applications.
  • Must be willing to sign an NDA and undergo a police reference check.

Salary and Schedule:

  • $20/hour.
  • Flexible work schedule within the business hours of Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, with a minimum of three 4-hour shifts per week.
