We are looking for a Plano Optics Associate to join our team!
Key Responsibilities:
Knowledge of using measuring tools: calipers, micrometers.
Must be skilled in the use of the metric system.
Ability to understand and follow work instructions
Experience in handling or assembling small parts with exceptional finger dexterity.
Good visual acuity to spot imperfections in the parts or assemblies.
Experience with assembling and handling of optical components, as well as understanding of optics surface quality specifications is a definite asset.
Good communication skills both written and verbal.
Technical Requirements & Education:
Completion of Ontario Secondary School Diploma – Grade 12 or GED
Effective interpersonal and communications skills
Adaptable, innovative and problem solver
Accountability to stay motivated and resilient even when faced with inevitable delays, setbacks and policy shifts
Willingness to learn and acquire knowledge/understanding through study, instruction or experience
Highly motivated with a positive attitude
Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance
