Job Posting: Operations and Parks & Recreation Summer Student

Located amidst the 30,000 islands of Georgian Bay and a 2.5-hour drive north of Toronto, the Town of Parry Sound offers an exceptional quality of life. Join our team in the Public Works Department as a Summer Student. Summer Students would work in the Operations or Parks & Recreation business units. The primary purpose of these roles is to provide general labour for various operational and maintenance services for the Corporation. The primary duties include: operating hand tools and grounds maintenance equipment, complete daily equipment circle checks and inspections relative to equipment use, ensure high standards of safety and cleanliness, and performs such other related duties within the general parameters of the job description, as may be requested. This position is a full-time, summer seasonal job with a job rate of $15.06 per hour.

Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills:
1. Must be a current student attending high school or a post-secondary education
2. Valid “G” drivers license;
3. Must meet the physical demands of the jobs
