The Reservations Specialist is responsible for providing Resort information, quoting rates and booking
reservations to maximize occupancy, revenues, and increase guest satisfaction. This is a “behind the
scenes” position; contact with guests is via telephone and internet.

• An acceptable workspace (Private space with a door, quiet, with an ergonomic workstation and chair)
• Access to High Speed or Fibre Optic in your home (we can check if the speeds you have access to will be
sufficient once you submit your application). Rental Units must have permission of landlord to run
additional lines if necessary.
Duties and responsibilities:
• Is able to commit to a high level of focus and concentration throughout shifts
• Loves the challenge of achieving goals
• Wants to be a part of a professional work environment
• Ensures proper verbiage is used when answering the phones and emails
• Effectively answer all calls, faxes and emails in a timely fashion
• Describes and sells accommodation, facilities and activities, up-selling where possible
• Organizes rate, package and activity information for quick reference to sell to guests
• Respond quickly to guest requests or complaints in a friendly manner and appropriate action is taken.
Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction
• Must be up to date on all specials, packages and resort activities
• Quote rates and enters detailed and accurate room and activity reservations into resort systems
• Process credit cards in accordance with deposit/cancellation policies
• Reviews on-line reservations
• Contacts guests in regards to theme weekend bookings and details
• Handles faxed in reservations from guests, travel agencies and volume booking companies
• Communicate with other departments, i.e. holiday dining updates, concert updates
• Process gift certificates and accommodation gift letters, ordered both via the phone and on-line
• Enter Owner and Timeshare reservations and tracks Owner room usage
• Send Timeshare confirmation letters
• Processes RCI and II Timeshare exchange requests
• Enter Group rooming lists and assist with Group Booking set up, where required
• Provide alternatives or options when necessary

• High school education
• Able to work well independently with little Supervision
• Must be able to make decisions individually and show problem solving ability
• Guest oriented with a sincere, helpful, caring and friendly personality

Salary: $15.00 / Hour
