Salary: $18.00 to $22.50HOUR hourly for 84 hours bi-weekly

Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time, Day, Night, Weekend, Shift

 Job requirements

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
or equivalent experience

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate; Security Guard basic (pre-assignment) training program certificate; First Aid Certificate; CPR Certificate; Security Guard License

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Specific Skills: Perform security checks of passengers and luggage; Patrol assigned areas; Operate security control room equipment; Enforce regulations to maintain order and resolve conflicts and to monitor establishment activities; Investigate unlawful acts of employees or patrons of establishments and recommend security systems

Business Equipment and Computer Applications: MS Excel; MS Word; MS Outlook

Additional Skills: Produce reports

Work Setting: Private security agency; Construction site

Type of Experience: Security systems/alarms consulting (residential); Private investigation; Preparation of information (evidence) reports; Corporate building security

Security and Safety: Bondable; Driver’s validity licence check; Driving record check (abstract); Criminal record check

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Work Site Environment: Outdoors; Hot

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation; Willing to travel regularly; Valid driver’s licence

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment; Work under pressure; Physically demanding; Attention to detail; Combination of sitting, standing, walking; Standing for extended periods; Walking

Work Location Information: Staff accommodation available; Remote location
