Date: June 4, 2024 Job Posting: Records Management Assistant – Summer Temporary

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Clerk, or designated supervisor, the Records Management Assistant is responsible for the following:

  • Scans and records cemetery records for electronic retrieval using established file naming conventions.
  • Scans building and planning records and maps; purges duplicate records
  • Purges records in boxed storage according to records retention policy, or files according to The Ontario Municipal Records Management System (TOMRMS)
  • Dependent upon interest of incumbent, participates in Council meeting preparation and follow-up as a learning opportunity in the Municipal sector.
  • Other Municipal administrative support work as may be identified.

 

Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills:

  • Competent skill with Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Word, Excel.
  • Good spelling and attention to detail
  • Ability to follow direction and perform tasks without supervision.
  • Proficient in the operation of scanning technology.

 

Compensation:

This is a temporary summer 35-hour work week position with a 2024 job rate of $15.75/hour subject to retroactive increase upon collective bargaining agreement.
