Job Description
Aramark is hiring a Support Service Supervisor to manage Housekeeping and Food Service Dining set up and delivery at Lakeland Long Term Care in Parry Sound. The Support Services Supervisor will be responsible to direct a team of employees to ensure the facility and laundry service is maintained, and the food delivery service meets the expectations of the client, residents, and Aramark’s standards of excellence.
Please note that a Canadian Society of Nutrition Management CSNM or Registered Dietitian designation is required for this position,

Job Responsibilities
- Supervise the facility housekeeping, linen and laundry programs and systems
- Supervise the food service delivery ensuring proper dining room set up and clean up
- Ensure proper training is delivered to all employees; conduct regular internal audits
- Staff scheduling, coaching, payroll; manage employee files; facility and staff health and safety
- Ensure cleanliness and high sanitation standards are always upheld throughout
- Ensure menus and therapeutics are accurate as directed by the Registered Dietitian
- Monitor supply usage and financial performance indicators to achieve outlined objectives
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clinical staff and employees
- Troubleshoot housekeeping technical issues, supervise laundry services, manage inventory
- Attend IPAC meetings as required; enforce PIDAC best practices as directed
- Ensure compliance to the Ministry of Long -Term care regulations

Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Hospitality or Environmental Services is preferred
- A CSNM or RD designation is required for this position
- 2-3 years experience managing food services or environmental services is preferred
- Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession
- Knowledge in the operation of housekeeping equipment – floor scrubbers, polishers, etc.
- An understanding of regulatory issues – WHMIS, OH&S, PIDAC, infection control
- Effective communication skills; interpersonal; multi-tasking abilities are key to the role
- Must be hands on with staff and operations, responsive with residents, clinical staff, etc.
- Flexible to work or cover some weekends and serve in an ‘on call’ basis as required
