TEMPORARY SECRETARY-RECEPTIONIST

MAIN FUNCTION: This municipal office position provides reception and administrative support to various municipal departments.

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES: Under the general supervision of the Deputy Clerk, the
Secretary/Receptionist will be expected to perform the following duties, as well as other duties
as assigned from time to time.

Duties, include:
 receiving, responding and directing telephone calls to the appropriate person;
 greeting and serving customers;
 managing incoming and outgoing postal and electronic mail.
 providing landfill site cards and dog tags;
 processing facility rental requests;
 assist with miscellaneous duties related to tax collection under the direction of the

Treasurer/Tax Collector, as well as other general clerical

QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have a minimum Grade 12 education (or equivalent).
Minimum of six (6) months of related experience. Knowledge of basic computer software
applications such as word processing.
