West Parry Sound District Bookkeeper
Please find below a request for quotation for the services of a bookkeeper as well as some
background information regarding the organization.
West Parry Sound District Museum (WPSDM), also known as The Museum on Tower Hill,
seeks a part-time bookkeeper to:
Work closely with the Curator/Manager (CM) and Treasurer to create and analyze
financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance.
Oversee all the daily accounting functions of the WPSDM, (including receivables and
collections, payables, maintaining bank accounts, etc.)
Recording transactions such as income and outgoings, and posting them to various
accounts,
Processing payments,
Government remittance and filing, including quarterly, or semi-annual GTS/HST filing
Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger, conducting daily banking
activities/reconciling reports to third-party records such as bank statements,
Preparation of monthly statements
Prepare/co-ordinate the annual audit preparation process,
Full-cycle bookkeeping/bringing the books to the trial balance/financial statement stage.
The WPSDM Finance Committee on behalf of the WPSDM Board will recommend the services
of a bookkeeper to provide financial record-keeping, under the direction of the WPSDM CM.
