The first program of its kind in Simcoe County & Muskoka
The Youth Changemaker Leadership program is a dynamic one-week program designed to inspire and equip youth with the tools to create meaningful change in their schools and communities. Youth will be introduced to change making and human centered design thinking through fun and engaging activities while exploring the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs). During this program youth will use their creativity to envision and co-design ideas for green, sustainable, peaceful, and just futures.
For summer 2026, the Changemaker Program will be running in two locations:
Midland – Midland YMCA
- July 6-10, Ages 9-12
- July 13-17, Ages 9-12
- July 27-31, Ages 13-15

Scholarship Opportunity
The YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka is pleased to offer scholarships for the Youth Changemaker Leadership program. There are 25 scholarships available across Simcoe County this summer. Please have a parent/guardian (18+) fill out the form below to apply for our scholarship opportunities
Applications are due by Friday, May 22, 2026. Scholarship winners will be chosen and contacted by the end of May. Scholarships are limited, and the YMCA encourages families to apply early to secure a spot.
