The Role

We have an opening for a part time Yardman/Loader Operator to work in the Parry Sound yard.

Responsibilities include:
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of aggregate storage bins/areas
• Maintain yard, ensuring safety and cleanliness for pedestrians and vehicles
• Operate loader to feed product into plant
• Operate equipment to li􀅌 and stack redi rock blocks
• Compliance with all company policies and practices and safety regulations
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment
• Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
• Able to operate a loader
• Knowledge of aggregates and ready-mix industry
• Ability to perform daily equipment checks including pre and post trip checks
• Use tools such as shovel, rake, sledge hammer
• Basic reading, wri􀆟ng, and math skills.
• Capability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved writen or oral instruc􀆟ons.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to priori􀆟ze tasks
• Must be able to take direction  from supervisor, keep required work schedule, focus on attention to details and follow all rules and policies, be team player
Working Conditions:
• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather condi􀆟ons
• Must be able to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings and weekends
• Required to shovel, lift, carry, pull and place objects weighing approximately 50 pounds without assistance
• Climb a ladder, move through narrow, confined or elevated spaces
Hours:
• Hours will vary based on the needs of the plant.

Salary: $22.75 – $24.75 per hour
