Full Day Child Care

When you sign your child up for full day care at the YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka, you gain access to the Weemarkable app. It keeps your mind at ease with the ability to access important child care notices, photos, milestones, educator observations, menu information and direct to educator messaging with just a tap.

Child Care Options

Infant Child Care | Birth to 18 months

  • Ratio is 1 staff to 3 infant
  • Infant’s individual schedule is followed based on parents input
  • Infant sleep times, eating patterns, diapering is logged daily
  • Child’s experiences and key developmental moments are shared within the Continuum of Development booklet
  • Program includes: indoor and outdoor exploring and community walks, songs and stories, discovering creative and sensory materials and imitation play
  • We offer a Young Parent Programs for student parents. This program enables students to continue their secondary education while giving them peace of mind knowing that their child is cared for by trained professionals.

Toddler Child Care | 18 months to 2.5 years

  • Ratio is 1 staff to 5 toddlers
  • Toddlers follow a flexible group schedule
  • Sleep times, eating patterns, diapering is logged daily
  • Child’s experiences and key developmental moments are shared within the Continuum of Development booklet
  • Program includes: exploring indoors and outdoors, music and movement, discovering creative and sensory material, puzzles, stories, blocks, dramatic play and learning to play with others
  • We offer a Young Parent Programs for student parents. This program enables students to continue their secondary education while giving them peace of mind knowing that their child is cared for by trained professionals

Preschool Child Care | 2.5 to 5 years

  • Ratio is 1 staff to 8 preschoolers
  • Preschool children follow a flexible group schedule
  • Child’s experiences and key developmental moments are shared within the Continuum of Development booklet
  • Program includes: exploring indoors and outdoors, creating with the arts, developing social skills with an emphasis placed on learning to get along with others, and gross and fine motor skills and problem solving. Through Animated Literacy, our preschoolers are learning phonetic awareness through songs, stories and actions
