Reporting to the After Hours Supervisor, the After-Hours Service Worker is responsible for providing after-hours and weekend crisis services, responding to allegations of child maltreatment, and providing immediate protective services when required. The After-Hours Service Worker’s role is to defuse crises and stabilize events that occur outside of regular Agency hours until cases can be assumed by regular day staff.

$5.66 to $6.62 on-call;
$53.19 to $62.23 call out

Qualifications

Minimum Education
• Bachelor of Social Work degree is preferred
• Community College Diploma in Social Services will be considered

Minimum Experience

• Two (2) years’ direct experience in a social services agency

Knowledge Requirements

• Knowledge of Niijaansinaanik Child and Family Services programs and services
• Respect for sensitivity towards as well as knowledge and understanding of Anishinabek culture, traditions and the Seven Grandfather teachings
• Knowledge of the First Nation service delivery, customs and traditions in responding to child welfare
• Knowledge of traditional practices, ceremonies and teachings

Other Requirement

• Must provide a clear Police Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
• Must have a Class ‘G’ Ontario Driver’s Licence, access to a vehicle and the ability to travel
• Must have $1M automobile insurance
• Must provide a three-year uncertified drivers abstract
