We are a family run pizzeria located in beautiful Parry Sound on the shores of Georgian Bay.  Chef Maurizio is an award winning Pizza Chef.  Most pizzeria’s are run and operated by pizza makers.   Chef Maurizio has a chef designation through the Canadian Culinary Federation.

Maurizio’s Pizzeria is a destination for visitors to the area as well as a favorite spot  for our community.   Our menu is based on Italian cuisine and sourced by local and small businesses in Ontario. We focus on using fresh, local ingredients. Each year, we serve thousands of guests.

We are seeking highly skilled, friendly, and hardworking individuals to be a key part of our team and its success.

About The Position

We are hiring for both seasonal and permanent positions with start dates this spring. A Prep Cook/Dishwasher is involved in all aspects of preparing toppings and support for boxing a finished pizza as well as pre-washing trays, containers, dishware, utensils and tools, placing in dishwasher and putting away clean items.

Responsibilities

Your day to day responsibilities will involve and include:

• Food preparation duties

• Separating and pre-washing and washing dishes. As well as putting them away.

• Keeping kitchen, storage and service areas well maintained, organized and exceptionally clean

• General duties and special projects as required as part of the team

Qualifications

• A passion for pizza

• Must be available to work a schedule that will include weekdays and weekends…  afternoon and evening shifts

• Being able to work well with others

• Able to follow instructions and embrace feedback

• You are reliable, with strong organizational and time management skills.

• You are able to work through occasionally difficult and stressful situations.

• You must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours; bend, push, pull and lift 25 kilos.
