The YMCA Simcoe/Muskoka community takes great pride in honouring the memory of Sterling McLeod, a remarkable individual whose legacy of leadership and commitment to community service continues to inspire us all. Sterling’s legacy lives on through his wife, Grace McLeod, and four children. The YMCA would like to express heartfelt appreciation for the generous $25,000 contribution made by his son, Scott McLeod, and Sterling’s wife, Grace. This contribution will actively support ongoing programs and initiatives that align with the cherished values Sterling held throughout his life.

Mr. McLeod’s dedication to the YMCA traces back to his early years in Montreal, where he first joined the YMCA and was an avid basketball player. Sterling’s involvement with the YMCA played a pivotal role in shaping him into the extraordinary leader he became.
