Ginger Tea for a Cold

  • 8 to 10 slices of fresh, unpeeled ginger root
  • 4 cups boiling water
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon or lime
  • 1 tsp honey (optional)

Wash ginger and boil slices for 10 to 20 minutes. Add lemon or lime juice and honey (if desired). Strain and serve. Ginger has sleep inducing, pain relieving, cough suppressant and fever reducing compounds.
