Join our Youth Quest Program

This program is for youth aged 15-30 who are either unemployed or under-employed and looking for full-time employment.  Youth Quest provides 6 weeks of pre-employment training with 16 weeks of paid work experience.  During the six week pre-employment training youth build employability, job maintenance and life skills to help remove the barriers that have been preventing them from accessing the labour market. Participants also secure a 16-week supported work experience to help them make the permanent transition into full-time employment. This program is funded by Service Canada and is delivered in Barrie, Orillia, South Georgian Bay (Collingwood/Wasaga Beach), South Simcoe (Bradford/Innisfil/Alliston) and the Region of Muskoka.

• We will discuss and examine what governing practices need to be in place in order for collaboration to not only occur but also succeed

Unconscious Bias

• Everyone is biased. With that understanding and acceptance you will learn how to make decisions that acknowledges the role bias can often play within that process
• You will discuss best practices and be provided with the tools needed to implement them
